There are all kinds of anime from the drastically overmuscled Dragon Ball-Z to shows like lucky star drawn specifically in a childish fashion and Mature styled anime like Ghost In The Shell.
While all these anime are different and unique they each possess traits that attract people to them and all of them are worthwhile, Why if all anime were mature style people would get no anime exsposure until they were 16 or 18 and that would be a travesty in unto itself.
Different styles make anime what it is a world full of color and variety and people should be free to like whatever anime they want without harrasment.
If we all thought in the vein you have been supporting all video games would be shooters(first person or third person) or overly realistic games like Grans Turismo 3 A-spec. NO ONE wants that to happen.
